Screen Printing

” mocchi mocchi　”　is the artist unit of sister Sachiko Mochizuki and Junko.

Born in 1974 (Sachiko Mochizuki),born in 1975(Junko Mochizuki) .

Live in Osaka , work studio in Kyoto,Japan.

We want to make the ambiguous feeling of " the impression “exist on paper with a sense of humour.

For this purpose, we have chosen to use silkscreen printmaking.

Through the indirect process of using a plate, "abstract" lines and surfaces are created that cannot be obtained by direct drawing.

They give us hints and forms to realise "sensations we cannot grasp".

By drawing them together, some kind of outline emerges.

We hope to create resonance through the works that emerge from this process.
